Why is frequent vacuuming important

Posted by Damion on March 21, 2011 at 8:22 PM

74 to 79 % of soiling in your carpet are insolubale such as dirt and sand .. The remaining soils are usually 10% waterbased and 10% solvent based these are the soils that create traffic lanes..Dry soil removal or "vacuuming"  frequently can make the carpet cleaning results much better..We recommend a CRI or green label vacuum with a high efficency filter.Vacuum frequently before the soils become embedded in the carpet ..To find a list of green label vacuum's check the carpet & rug institute @ www.carpet-rug.org..Prior to vacuuming if the carpet is matted down groom area's with a brush ..This will improve the airflow and allow you to remove more soils from your carpet..Vacuuming should be done in a PUSH PULL motion allowing 6 passes through traffic area's ..The push pass positions the soil and the pull pass removes the soil..ALWAYS GO SLOW ON THE PULL PASS.Empty the bag when it's 2/3 full.Truckmounts are not designed to remove dry soils regardless of the power of the vacuum system and can damage the vacuum blower. The most effective tool will always be a vacuum cleaner.
