While in Brandon Fl carpet remains an overall popular choice for bedrooms, stairs and second floors, more and more homes we visit have hardwood, tile or laminate floors in the living areas. This has been an ongoing trend in homes for the last decade. Even with the downturn economy, homeowners are tearing out their carpet and replacing it with Brandon Fl hardwood flooring of some variety.
In many cases non-carpeted floors are generally easier to maintain (stains for example are usually not an issue with hard surface floors). However, they do require some care. Because of this we’ve added hardwood floor cleaning Brandon Fl to our list of services. Hardwood, in fact can often times be as dirty as a carpet. The amount of soil and grime that can be extracted from wood is amazing.
Please keep in mind that Brandon Fl hardwood floor cleaning is not the same as refinishing. If your floors have deep scratches (in some instances we may be able to address some scratches) or have run bare, then a refinishing is most likely in order. This is an entirely different process and one that we do not offer. Simply put, we professionally clean and buff (‘polish’ as our customers call it) wood floors.
A professional cleaning brings the shine and luster back to your floors giving it a fresh, new look. The steps required use no harmful chemicals. Floors dry quickly and this is an extremely affordable service.

Nearly every home we clean in Brandon Fl has some amount of hardwood installed. A Brandon Fl hardwood floor is a beautiful choice for high traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and entryways. Hardwood floors stand up well to dirt, grime, and animals. The urethane finish on wood floors protects the wood while giving it a beautiful shine. It is also generally easy to clean on a day-to-day basis, requiring only vacuuming and a light dust mopping.
Until fairly recently, the only way to repair scratches in the finish was to have the floor completely re-sanded and refinished. This process is not only costly but also inconvenient because it usually takes 3 to 4 days to complete, depending on the size of the job. Most companies charge between $5 to $7 per square foot for this service, which is close to the initial price of Brandon Fl the wood floor installation.
Dirtmaster offers two services of professional Brandon Fl hardwood floor care. The first is hardwood floor cleaning, the second is hardwood floor refinishing. Professional cleaning will remove surface marks and imbedded soil. Resurfacing will repair pits and all scratches in the wood finish. Unless the floor has been severely abused, or is sun-discolored, resurfacing is the best choice to bring back the original luster.
Brandon Fl Hardwood Floor Cleaning
We use a mildly alkaline floor cleaning solution specifically made for Brandon Fl hardwood floors. We agitate the surface using a low-speed buffer machine or microfiber padded mop with a polishing pad to remove soil, paint, and scuffs from the surface. We finish the process using cotton bonnets. This is an excellent way to maintain the floor's shine. We recommend that this process be done on an annual basis. Dirtmaster offers this service for only $0.10-$0.50 per sq foot of wood flooring.
Brandon Fl Hardwood Floor Refinishing
We also offer a process in which the wood floor is refinished without sanding. We prepare the floor by removing all furniture, pulling back carpet around the floor, and masking all the baseboards. Then we thoroughly vacuum and clean the floor to completely remove all debris. We then apply a Brandon Fl wood cleaning formula that chemically removes the top coat of the existing finish, preparing it for the adhesion of additional coats. We use wood filler that matches the color of the floor to fill any cracks or gouges. We then apply a urethane finish. After the first coat dries, we apply a second coat of finish.
The finish is expected to last from two to five years, depending on use.
Customers can choose between three types of finish: satin, semi-gloss, or gloss. Some prefer the high shine of the gloss, while others prefer the toned-down look of the satin. Semi-gloss, the happy medium is the most popular finish.
